I'm still struggling to get back in to it. I am on a course of regular painkillers, but after 2 minutes of steady rowing my hips are painful , my left knee is creaking and cracking and I'm also getting considerable pain in my left shoulder. So feeling like I do I think it will be a while before I can stop with the painkillers.
Stopping isn't going to help me though, if I sit still for long I just get stiffer and stiffer making movement even tougher, so I have set myself a task.
Until I start to feel better I'm just going to do a couple of 5 minute sessions a day. I'm determined to lose weight too, another reason I must get active despite the pain.
It's early days but I'm hoping in a couple of months the weight is shifting and I can manage longer pain-free sessions

Keeping A Routine

Ten Minutes
Day 2 of my diet and my first session back on the rower, I was at it for 10 minutes going a steady pace.
Got tired quickly and really feeling it in my hips!
Legs felt like jelly when I stood up, shocked at how unfit I am getting, determined to stick at it now!

Back Again!
After struggling for a while with various health issues I have since been diagnosed with a chronic health problem that has caused nerve and muscle damage.
I am now getting medical treatment so should not get worse, and hopefully get a little better!
I've put on more weight, but started a crash diet yesterday and am getting back on the rower today!
